Legendary Prices October 16, 2026

Chimaera. No, we are not just naming a good card. We are naming a good AND valuable card.

Average Market Price Trend

We are seeing the down slide that seems to follow every set. On the plus side, the initial drop was way less than the steep slope we saw after the Ashes of the Empire release. The downside to the same thing is that the drop could simply be less because the spike was less.

The other potentially positive thing to start thinking about is that Icons 2027 is right around the corner and should also juice the market up a little bit. So far we’ve seen some pretty interesting cards revealed so fingers crossed and high hopes for upcoming previews.

Looking at Premier legal sets only shows us roughly the same thing. While the ASH and HMW comparison does not work on a scale side, the relative paths that the market took as each set was released is extremely similar. Also, again worth noting that the HMW spike should be expect to be at least some amount smaller because that’s simply how averages work and those cards were being added to a larger existing pool that what ASH was added to initially.

Don’t forget our Card Price History tool if you want to see data for a single card over time.
Plus full pricing details including all of the per set averages can be found on the Porgonomics page of the site.

** Reminder that the TCGPlayer Market Price is where the TCGPlayer algorithm says the price ought to be. Above that price and a card may be overcosted. Below and you could be getting a deal. We are using the market price for the overall trend section above, however shift to lowest listed for the sections below.

Top of the Market

Chimaera.
Do we need to say more about this card? Likely not since it is the powerful top end right now in both villain decks and some hero side ones as well.

Nightbrother holding steady at the moment and maintains a spot in the top three.

Biggest Winners and Losers

Did we mention the big blue villain triangle yet?

Downside is still the HMW set settling in. Likely to be that way for at least a couple more weeks.

Cheapest Market Price

Rule with Respect is back at the “top” of the cheapest list. Invincible was flip-flopped down to the second spot. Leia Organa from Legends of the Force may also be making a run as well and could be the legendary to beat soon the closer we get to the next rotation.
