It’s Galactic Championship week. Showcase prices and movement could have some indications for the top meta decks.

Set Averages

Last week we called that ASH would be 99.99999% unlikely to maintain its opening pricing average for showcase leaders. We were correct. Hope you did not bet your showcase collection against us on that one.

ASH also had the largest drop from the Monday after pre-release to the Monday after release that we’ve seen since we started tracking the showcase data. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just expected. That average in week two is still higher than any week two price average that we’ve seen for a SWU set.

The other solid news is that the showcase average for LAW finished its first 20 weeks just above the $150 mark. Easily the best week 20 average we’ve seen by over $50.

Current Top 10

Luke Skywalker – I Can Save Him did not stay over the $1000 mark. You didn’t think this was 2024 SOR Boba times did you? Luke did manage to stay above $430 for now. Still expecting that this will drop down a bunch unless somebody wins GC with Luke in which case he could stay up that high for a bit. He’s also likely riding some of the hero of the OT energy for now which doesn’t hurt at all.

Ahsoka Tano – Trust in the Force and Cad Bane – Still Faster Than You are still in the top ten for ASH leaders. It’s a good bet that both of them will see significant amounts of play at the GC. Also very important to note that the tags on both of these leaders is there on you deck list since there’s been a few of them. Ahsoka has 3 other showcases if you could the Twin Suns one available starting at GC and Cad Bane has one other. Good thing R2-D2 still has zero but appeared in all 9 main saga films. #WheresR2Leader.

Ezra is also on the list from ASH. Expecting to see quite a bit of this angsty artwork gracing the GC tables as well.

Winners and Losers

Director Krennic – Amidst My Achievement is the big winner for the week, having moved up over $50. Also important to note the subtitle on him since this is his second leader card. For an imperial, that while a cool character, he doesn’t seem all that successful as a leader in Rogue One or Andor. General Maximillian Veers with zero leader cards is arguably much better as an actual leader on the screen. #WheresVeersLeader?

Still mostly ASH leaders on the downside this week, which is entirely expected. Very likely to be the case at least next week as well before we start seeing things settle in.

“The Finn Zone”

The cards in this part of the list have left the meta. They are on a journey to a mysterious realm of disappointment, like a bad Twilight Zone episode where every card is just… meh. This is now officially where all disappointing Star Wars: Unlimited showcase cards go to live in eternal mediocrity. If a card dips below Finn in value, it has entered The Finn Zone, a place where underwhelming abilities and missed potential reign supreme.

Grand Inquisitor – Stories Travel Quickly retains the “top” spot for a fifth week. One more to tie his personal record.

The total zone members is back up to double digits again. We’re looking at a nice round 10 now, still from only two sets not counting Finn himself.

As always, keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings.
