Showcase Prices October 12, 2026

The good news is that Homeworlds is officially released.
The downside is that the showcase leaders are starting out well below where the Ashes began.
The other bad news is that the most recent sets are not quite holding their lines.

Don’t Forget…

** Regardless of price there are fun ways to get a showcase leader.

Set Averages

Ashes of the Empire set the mark for highest average opening. Even if we were to factor in anomalies of release week pricing being available from TCGPlayer API calls or not, the second week of ASH still would have been the highest.

Homeworlds is a small dot right now at about the same starting point that Jump to Lightspeed started at.

There are likely many reasons for the HMW set starting lower. We know that the drop rates in packs, especially carbonite are lower than the 2025 sets so that should push them higher. It’s arguably not the artwork since basically all of the showcase art are true bangers. Could be the general playability of the leaders in Premier format or at least the perceived first takes that people have for the new crop of leaders.

Current Top 10

Shadows of the Galaxy Mando is up there. Don’t be fooled though as the lower cost near mint listings are simply sold through. There are a couple of cheaper lightly played ones that could be worth it.

Also not terribly surprising to see Doctor Hemlock and the new Maul in the top three. Those two are almost certainly likely to come down a bit.

Winners and Losers

Aside from the Mando leader that we already mentioned above, Cad Bane – Still Faster Than You went up a bit even though he’s still suspended.

Here’s the depressing side of things…

Additional Notes and Comments

For prior price tracking of showcase and legendary cards please visit the Porg Depot Pricing Page.

As always, keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
