Legendary Prices August 21, 2026

Overall market is down a little, but generally things are pretty stable and in a place we’d expect. The major even in Indy will have an impact most likely as will the potential announcements coming from the stream scheduled for Monday.

Average Market Price Trend

The average standard legendary’s lowest listed price has retraced a bit back to about the $4.50 mark. This is roughly what we’ve seen as a meta is established, things settle in, and more product is opened week to week.

Multiple things will likely impact the listed prices in the next week or so. For starters the major event happening this weekend in Indiana. The stream on Monday related to the “meta check-in” will almost certainly have an impact as well since suspensions would likely make things drop and any non-suspensions may have the exact opposite effect. Much of this will be obvious to many people, but just in case people are living under a rock or not fully tagged in to what is going on it makes sense to mention it anyway.

Don’t forget our Card Price History tool if you want to see data for a single card over time.
Plus full pricing details including all of the per set averages can be found on the Porgonomics page of the site.

** Reminder that the TCGPlayer Market Price is where the TCGPlayer algorithm says the price ought to be. Above that price and a card may be overcosted. Below and you could be getting a deal. We are using the market price for the overall trend section above, however shift to lowest listed for the sections below.

Top of the Market

The big three from ASH are still the big three. A nice handy web page is available to track and peak at the listing and market prices for those cards in standard, hyperspace and hyperfoil variants. Not expecting any major changes for those three and most of the rest of the top group of cards… at least until Monday.

Biggest Winners and Losers

Improvised Identity is way up this week. It’s certainly a fun card with an interesting design. Some of the bump looks to be from speculation as there was one sale yesterday of 15 of them at $4.50 each. Maybe that person thinks they will get an errata and be like Swarming Vulture Droids.

Tons of very good cards on the downside this week. Anything to worry about? Probably not. Many of these cards basically had to have been running with inflated prices and most of these recent drops are normal corrections. Granted watch out for the speculation as to upcoming suspensions as a cause as well.

Cheapest Market Price

Rule With Respect hits its 23nd week at the “top”. At this point it would be extremely interesting to think about just how long a single card could stay at this type of level. This one at least fits the mold of something we’d expect to be pretty far down in price as an Eternal card that was only really a board card at best.
