Legendary Prices August 7, 2026
If you don’t want to read anything about the few big hitters from Ashes of the Empire, you should just stop reading now. Maybe come back after a couple more weeks of the current meta and some potential suspensions.
Average Market Price Trend
Things are pointed in a positive direction. This is one of the more significant upticks that we’ve seen in quite some time.
The recent upwards movement is due to a handful of cards that are really just exploding at this point and driving everything. There is also an outside shot that we are still early enough in the Ashes meta cycle where the supply just isn’t there yet because sealed product has not been opened in enough quantities.
Of course if some of the ASH legendary cards keep ticking upwards, we will hit an equilibrium because it will become super “worth it” to be cracking packs chasing those high dollar cards. Supply and demand folks. Gas prices go up because of the war in Iran; ASH legendaries go up because not enough sealed product has been opened. Basically the same thing… Right?

Top of the Market
Pre Vizsla, Chimaera, and Ninth Sister.
That’s basically the story for the past week plus. Mostly it’s the first two, but we’re going to keep Ninth Sister in there for aspect inclusivity.
We’ve also made a nice handy web page that will show the prices of these three ASH legendary cards each hour vs. their starting market prices and lowest listed prices for the day. Easy to see all the TCGPlayer prices in a single place.

If you want just the top of the market ASH card in a chart… Nah we aren’t doing that anymore since the top 3 are the same anyway.
Biggest Winners and Losers
Gee, what went up this week. Oh yeah looks like Pre Vizsla and Chimaera top this list as well. When a card gains in a week more than the vast majority of other legendaries are worth, that’s just another outcome that we’re going to see.
The downside this week is topped mainly by non-vigilance, non-aggression, non-villainy aspected cards. Actually the top ten has not a single card that would fit a blue red villain description. If you aren’t aware of the Premier meta at the moment to have known that this was a likely outcome then do keep playing Eternal and Twin Suns since those are fun formats too.
Cheapest Market Price
We’ve expanded our cheapest list to show ten cards now. Mostly for consistency with the other charts higher up to keep our couple porgs with OCD from freaking out. Also more data points are fun to have and maybe we’ll see a little more movement in the 6-10 range.
Rule With Respect has continued rolling into its 21th week at the “top”.
Summa-verminoth keeps going up for some reason and is now at a market price of $0.72. Impossible to refute the hard data on this but we still don’t quite believe it.
