New Player Guide
The Porg Depot team has discussed in the past creating a new player guide. The Garbage Rollers already had a nice one available so it simply never made sense. Below is a new home for the new player guide that was originally created by Tyler (DJStormtrooper) along with the rest of The Garbage Rollers. This guide was originally hosted on their website. There are also links out to additional creators credited as necessary. We have simply taken over the hosting responsibilities on behalf of The Garbage Rollers and the SWU community.

Lesson 9: Who’s the Beatdown?
Knowing when in the game you should be attacking the opponent’s base versus their units is one of the most important (and hard to master!) skills in the game. We link to TowerNumberNine’s excellent article on who’s obligated to smash face!
Lesson 10: Limited Format
Want a break from the competitive grind? Try SWU’s excellent limited formats! In this article, Jayson walks us through some simple guidelines for deckbuilding in sealed and what to look for in draft!
Lesson 11: Leveled Thinking
SWU is not just a card game- it’s a mind game. Thinking about your opponent’s hand is as important as thinking about yours and anticipating their plays will win games. To help with that, we link to KTOD’s excellent video about leveled thinking in games and how to apply it to SWU!
Lesson 12: Joining the Top Tables
The climb to the top is hard- and often emotionally draining. Don’t get discouraged! Tyler talks about what it takes to join the top tables of a competitive tournament.
