Rio is getting close to tying a record, a fun football reference in The Finn Zone, plus the other happenings as we may be starting to see some impacts of the Force Throw suspension.

** Regardless of price there are fun ways to get a showcase leader.
Set Averages
Jump to Lightspeed is the only set that had its showcase leaders go up over the past week. A whopping 90 cent gain on that front. The good news is that the averages from the other sets didn’t drop a ton other than Twilight of the Republic which is confusing since Finn wasn’t in that set.

Current Top 10

Sabine was in the top spot last week but loses three places and drops to fourth overall.
Cad Bane takes over at the top of the list and also gives us a showcase over the $250 price point again. Actually given the current listings on TCGPlayer, another sale of the lowest listed and Cad will suddenly be at $300.
Winners and Losers

Already mentioned Cad Bane above. He could easily be a beneficiary of the Force Throw ban. In fact he was already out there doing well in qualifier events with three wins this past weekend, so taking something out of the meta that would hinder him certainly won’t hurt.
Very possible based on the price movement and early chatter in Discord that Han Solo – Audacious Smuggler and Boba Fett – Any Methods Necessary could also be a beneficiaries of the shifting meta post Force Throw.

Feels a bit fitting that Chancellor Palpatine was one of the big winners a few weeks ago and has now flipped back to being on the other end of things.
“The Finn Zone”
The cards in this part of the list have left the meta. They are on a journey to a mysterious realm of disappointment, like a bad Twilight Zone episode where every card is just… meh. This is now officially where all disappointing Star Wars: Unlimited showcase cards go to live in eternal mediocrity. If a card dips below Finn in value, it has entered The Finn Zone, a place where underwhelming abilities and missed potential reign supreme.
Rio is getting close to tying the record for most weeks in the dubious spot of cheapest showcase leader. Just one more week to go before he would tie Rose Tico’s record. On the plus side for Rio, while he is not very good and is extremely cheap for a showcase, at least he is not playing for a New York City football team.
The Finn Zone Records
- Longest Reign at the “Top” = Rose Tico; 8 weeks
- Lowest Showcase Price = Rose Tico; $20.00 on 8/4/25
- Largest Count of Zone Members = 23 on 7/21/25
- Smallest Count of Zone Members = 14 on 9/8/25

Additional Notes and Comments
For prior price tracking of showcase and legendary cards please visit the Porg Depot Pricing Page.
Keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
