Legendary Prices August 29, 2025

Flat. Not the Earth, but the Legendary price trend. This is a good thing as it stopped the precipitous drop and we are also not flying off into space.

Market and Average Price Trends

Last week we were likely being a bit optimistic when looking at the average market trend graphs. Luckily, you no longer need to squint to see that there is a flattening of the overall average price curve. It’s possible that this is the most stable the legendary card market prices have been certainly since April/May and potentially since Porg Depot started tracking this data.

Still a relatively short amount of time, but it’s extremely nice to see the steep negative drop turning into basically anything else.

Spark of Rebellion and Twilight of the Republic dropped a little bit, but are offset by the gains from Jump to Lightspeed and Legends of the Force. Shadows of the Galaxy stayed as flat as the felt on a brand new pool table.

** Reminder that the TCGPlayer Market Price is where the TCGPlayer algorithm says the price ought to be. Above that price and a card may be overcosted. Below and you could be getting a deal. We are using the market price for the overall trend section above, however shift to lowest listed for the sections below.

Top of the Market (Hyperspace and Standard)

Luke Skywalker – Jedi Knight and Anakin Skywalker – Champion of Mortis. That’s still the story at the top of the charts for standard and hyperspace legendary cards. The “major” movement is that this week the standard variant of Luke jumped up to the two spot and knocked the Anakin cards down to three and four.

** Note that the hyperspace variants are only shown in the overall top 10 list as we focus on the standard variants.

Not too much changes when the hyperspace cards are filtered out. This is probably a good thing as the variants are relatively consistent at the moment.

Winners and Losers

Planetary Bombardment made another significant jump with a solid gain last week. In fact it has been on a steady run up over the past month plus. This is good news if you’ve been sitting on a stack of them since it was below $12. Probably bad news if you don’t like playing against Boba Fett – Any Methods Necessary.

Last week Cunning and Aggression were notable gainers and this time around Vigilance is in the mix. Porg Depot currently has no information related to post rotation card reprints but our bet would still be on these namesake aspect cards getting included at some point in a future set.

Size matters not… unless it’s the price of a card. Poor Yoda keeps taking hits week after week.

Cheapest

Final Showdown retained the dubious honor of being the cheapest available legendary card for a second week. We still morbidly want to see it drop below a quarter. Pepperidge Farms remembers when you could make a pay phone call for that amount.
