The Galactic Championship completed yesterday and we are already seeing some dramatic shifts in some of the leaders. Mother Talzin and Kylo Ren made waves over the weekend and we are seeing the impact.

** Regardless of price there are fun ways to get a showcase leader.

Set Averages

The average lowest listed prices for first four sets remain relatively stable this week. Spark of Rebellion was down slightly, as was Shadows of the Galaxy. Twilight of the Republic and Jump to Lightspeed moved ever so minimally in the upwards direction.

Legends of the Force, well that’s quite different from the other four. With a nearly $10 gain obviously something is going on. Gee, you think it could be the two finial decks in yesterday’s Galactic Championship final match?

Current Top 10

Kylo Ren – We’re Not Done Yet is now the most pricey showcase to get your hands on. We are also seeing some other newer leaders near the top of the list as well with Darth Revan and Anakin Skywalker – What it Takes to Win.

Original Spark of Rebellion leaders are of course still in the upper ranks with Leia and Boba Fett – Collecting the bounty still commanding high prices.

Winners and Losers

How did Kylo jump up in price so much? Could it be the incredible success and conversion rate of the Bothan Network team?

All four players from the Bothan Network team that were on Kylo – We’re Not Done Yet playing in day one of the Galactic Championship were able to advance to the second day of the event. Then on day two with PQ winners and others with a day one bye joining the mix six out of fourteen Bothans advanced to day three. The deck originated by Ian Klein and George Hudson and with contributions from many others on the team was able to propel Ian into the final match. While Ian ultimately did not emerge victorious, he and the other Bothans certainly seem to have impacted the Legends of the Force meta and absolutely influenced the showcase price market.

Oh look, Mother Talzin coming in with the second highest gain on the week. Filip Szkudlarek was crowned as the very first Star Wars Unlimited Champion yesterday. He piloted a Mother Talzin deck to a 12-1-1 record successfully taking down some of the very best players along the way. Congratulations to Filip on the win and to all those that got their Mother Talzin showcases at reasonable prices.

Han Solo – Worth the Risk was the heavy favorite going into the Galactic Championship weekend. He had a pretty good run up in price in the few weeks preceding and then was likely slightly overpriced which caused a slight drop as more people looked to sell while the market was hot. However the Han2Blue force based deck was pretty underwhelming in results over the weekend which looks to be leading to a little bit of a selloff. He could continue to drop depending on how the Planetary Qualifier season results start to shape up.

“The Finn Zone”

The zone actually shrunk a bit this week. It is down to 20 members from 23 a week ago.

Rio retains the “top” spot in the zone for the third week in a row and again breaks his own record for lowest priced showcase that we’ve seen to date.

The Finn Zone Records

  • Longest Reign at the “Top” = Rose Tico; 8 weeks
  • Lowest Showcase Price = Rio Durant; $22.99 on 7/28/25
  • Largest Count of Zone Members = 23 on 7/21/25

Additional Notes and Comments

For prior price tracking of showcase and legendary cards please visit the Porg Depot Pricing Page.

Keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
