ASH Showcase Art Tier List
Welcome to the completely unscientific yet officially porg-endorsed ranking of the Ashes of the Empire showcase leaders judged solely on their artistic swagger. Absolutely no stats or synergies are factored in. Just looking at style alone.
One quick overall note:
The tier list below is just in relation to other showcase leader art within the Ashes of the Empire set. Overall the artwork is very nice and a solid step up on average from some of the past sets.
Now, fluff those feathers and prepare to dig in with us as we overanalyze every pose.
S Tier
- Bo-Katan Kryze – What is a leader if not the one in the front of the pack, leading the charge, and wielding a weapon of dynasty and destiny? The art with the Mandalorian squad flying through the air is just superb. Glint of light on her helmet and armor is a nice touch.

A Tier
- The Mandalorian – The flames crossing over the name box at the top is solid. The light from the flames is also awesome.
- Cad Bane – Space cowboy gunslinger shootout action shot. Check.
- Emperor Palpatine – Pretty much the exact same thing from SOR but a new angle. Don’t mess with what works.
- Luke Skywalker – Having the original trilogy’s hero in such a dark scene is pretty cool

B Tier
- Grogu – Cuteness in mini-Force user form.
- Fennec Shand – Pretty badass pose.
- Shin Hati – Nice coloring and interesting choice to have the white hair shaded that way.
- Moff Gideon – Step one for being a cool character is having some solid armor and a helmet.

C Tier
- Baylon Skoll – Looks just like Ray. However, he’s just standing there and could have been doing something.
- The Armorer – Another just standing pose. Nice light reflections, but give the lady a hammer.
- Ahsoka Tano – More standing.
- Vane – At least this guy points when he stands.

D Tier
- Sabine Wren – What’s she doing with her face? Nothing. Zero expression at all.
- Greef Karga – With all due respect to the late Carl Weathers, couldn’t this have been R2-D2 with zero changes?
- Grand Admiral Thrawn – He’s on five cards. Four of them have this identical hands behind the back pose.
- Grand Admiral Sloane – Who? Doesn’t she know that Grand Admirals should stand with their hands behind their back?

E Tier
- Ezra Bridger – A very pissed off Adam Sandler from 8 Crazy Nights. It’s perfectly fine art, but really this one could have been R2 as well.

Final Thoughts
7 Plain standing poses.
1 Sitting pose.
2 Grand Admirals.
5 Helmets (more if you count all the supporting cast in Bo-Katan’s).
2 Leaders that could have easily been R2-D2
1+ Leaders that could have been General Veers.
1 Adam Sandler.
Mainly we kid. We are not goofing on the artists but rather tier lists in general. Good job artists for all the hard work you put into the showcase pieces and all the other cards. Also kudos to the FFG people writing the art prompts.
May the brushstrokes be with you.
