ASH: Preview Review 6/2
In the Ashes of the Empire teaser article on the official website, Tyler mentioned “A villainous event in this set does something similar to a card that was previously deep in the Cunning aspect.” It is extremely possible that we’ve now seen that card.

These two cards are of course not identical. However there sure are some similarities between One Must Destroy to Create and the older Shadows of the Galaxy card A New Adventure. Both of the cards take a unit out of play in some manner and then allow that unit to be replayed for free. A New Adventure is also definitively “deep in the Cunning aspect”.
Combos and Usage
One Must Destroy to Create has all kinds of fun combos with other cards. All it takes is a When Defeated effect and then of course defeating that unit creates a benefit. Interestingly, a When Played effect also has a similar benefit.

The new Morgan Elsbeth unit, also revealed yesterday, has tremendous synergy with One Must Destroy to Create. First she has support and will allow some other unit to attack and if planned out correctly, that unit could trade into an opposing player’s unit to take that out plus give another unit -2/-2 as it is defeated in a nice two for one. On likely the next turn, One Must Destroy can target Morgan allowing her to -2/-2 something, and then trigger her support ability again when she is replayed from the discard pile.
There are plenty of other cards that have extremely potent when defeated abilities such as Legacy Run. Dealing 6 damage twice generally seems like a good thing.
Crazy Synergy
Then there are cards that have somewhat over the top synergy with One Must Destroy to Create because they have both a When Defeated and a When Played ability. Take the Chimaera for example. Create two tie fighters, then trigger a when defeated from another unit when it enters play again. Combos pretty well with a number of cards including the two mentioned above.

One More Thing…
Don’t forget about this big bad blue dude.
