LAW Showcase Art Tier List

Welcome to the completely unscientific yet officially porg-endorsed ranking of the Secrets of Power showcase leaders judged solely on their artistic swagger. Absolutely no stats or synergies are factored in. Just looking at style alone.

Fluff those feathers and prepare to dig in with us as we overanalyze every pose.

S Tier

  • Darth Vader – EJ Dela Cruz crushed the art on this one about as much as Vader crushed the rebels in the hallway scene at the end of Rogue One. The black and red color palette continues to be striking on villainous leaders.

A Tier

  • Jyn Erso – Fellas in the background all thinking “Check out the great… art on this card.”
  • Chewbacca – Very nice detail. Glad I don’t have to brush him.
  • Jabba the Hutt – Can almost feel the slime oozing from the image.
  • Sebulba – Leader of the pack with the casual goggle adjustment. A+ if we did half ranks.

B Tier

  • Aurra Sing – Decent sniper action shot. Hair detail is cool.
  • Tobias Beckett – Decent battle action shot. Clouds in the background are nice.
  • Agent Kallus – Decent flame thrower action shot. Nice imperial background.
  • Boba Fett – Decent leaning pose firing action shot. Reminiscent of his dad’s showcase from TWI.

C Tier

  • Saw Gerrera – Standard fuzzy background portrait, but damn it looks exactly like Forest Whitaker.
  • Vel Sartha – Art seems ok. The poncho looks comfy and likely could be used to smuggle porgs.
  • Director Krennic – Sufficiently brooding and calculating, but not super imposing.
  • Han Solo – We knocked this one down a notch just because we’re tired of the pre-LAW meta.

D Tier

  • The Client – Somebody get this guy a better chair before his scoliosis gets worse.
  • Leia Organa – She’s the only one where the macro lens was used. Zoom out a bit.
  • Envy’s Nest – This one is fine. It’s definitely the character. Pretty similar to the standard art.
  • Hera Syndulla – Another ok one. Very similar to the standard art.

E Tier

  • Lando Calrissian – Looks a bit like a video game NPC from the early 2000’s.

Final Thoughts

1 lightsaber.
3 walking sticks.
5 shooters.
A pod racer and a bad chair.

All in, the showcase art for A Lawless Time goes pretty hard. There really are no bad ones and those farther down our list are just in relation to the others. Good job artists and the FFG people writing the art prompts.
