SEC Showcase Art Tier List

Welcome to the completely unscientific yet officially porg-endorsed ranking of the Secrets of Power showcase leaders judged solely on their artistic swagger. Absolutely no stats or synergies are factored in. Just looking at style alone.

• Who shows the best Galactic Senate energy?
• Who gives off the best child of chaos vibes?
• Who accidentally wandered into a glamour shot?

Fluff those feathers and prepare to dig in with us as we overanalyze every pose.

S Tier

• Sly Moore: It’s got to be incredibly difficult to make a politician look like they are about to explode with rage. The red illumination on the leather, the popped collar, vicious stare… Even without the two Death Troopers Sly Moore would be bringing it.

A Tier

• C-3PO: Great detail and pose. Can immediately see the character in that scene from A New Hope. Plus 3PO’s expression is just spot on.
• Cassian Andor: An action shot!!??!! This is the one showcase leader wielding a weapon.
• Chancellor Palpatine: Guy is just sitting in a chair and yet looks menacing.

B Tier

• Bail Organa: Dropped right shoulder makes you feel like he’s being beaten down by the political backstabbing in the senate.
• Leia Organa: Really brings the sequel era Leia to a card. Nice background. If only she was doing something less odd with her hands.
• Luthen Rael: The bricks in the background bring a true gritty texture to the background.

C Tier

• Lama Su: Can almost feel the water outside the windows. Should have had some clones in the background.
• Dryden Vos: Where Palpatine shows how to look menacing in a chair, Dryden’s just kind of chillin’.
• Jabba the Hutt: Random dude in the background could have been a nod to Boba Fett instead.
• Colonel Yularen: A true Imperial officer looking down at all of us making us feel insecure about something that we aren’t even sure we did, but feel guilty about it anyway.

D Tier

• Sabe: The shadows creeping over her are cool, but she isn’t nearly as sneaky looking as the standard art.
• DJ: Mega fail to not have it be the “Maybe” pose. Also, why such the low camera angle?
• Padme Amidala: #shrug.
• Dedra Meero: Wish the showcase and the standard art were swapped.

E Tier

• Governor Pryce: Is she an Imperial leader or on a trip to visit the pyramids in Egypt?
• Satine Kryze: Nothing denotes political leadership like drinking martinis.
• Mon Mothma: She looks like she’s about to cry. Maybe the artist knew her in game ability ahead of time and that was the idea.

Final Thoughts

Seventeen hands, only some of which are doing odd things.
Five background characters.
One weapon, one smile, and one smirk.

Every artist poured their heart, soul, and probably a few kyber crystals into these pieces. This ranking isn’t meant to throw shade. Really, we’re just having fun poking at tier lists, celebrating great art, and pretending our porg panel of judges didn’t pick favorites based solely on shiny lightsabers and brooding stares.
