This Plot Goes Boom

We’ve already seen some Plot cards revealed.  Now we get a look at one that could potentially be quite bonkers in terms of its reach.

Preview video from Swoop Racers already covered this but we wanted to write about it anyway. Still give their video a view if you can.

The first question to ask is which leaders cost 5?  Then, do any of them combo with this new card?

Hi Qi’ra!!

Qi’ra basically guarantees that units that were in play prior to her being deployed are going to take some amount of damage.  

Other than shields, a unit would need 7 hit points to survive Qi’ra’s hit plus the extra 3 from Topple the Summit.  A quick database search of units from prior sets with greater than 6 hit points that also cost less than 5 resources shows not a ton of options.

• Jabba the Hutt (SOR)
• Duchess’s Champion (TWI)
• Dilapidated Ski Speeder (JTL)
• Dume (LOF)
• Nala Se (TWI leader)

Safe to say that none of the above cards are currently seeing any significant play at this time.

Baring those cards, upgrades on smaller units, or shields, Qi’ra plus Topple the Summit is basically board wipe that will likely leave Qi’ra the lone survivor on the board.

Does this mean the end of aggro decks?
