Showcase Prices May 5, 2025

Largest event ever in Lille, PQs happening all over, plus store showdowns and other Star Wars Day events. Some showcases are moving and not all in the direction we would potentially expect.

** Don’t forget, regardless of price there are fun ways to get a showcase leader.

Trends

The overall trends by set for the past few weeks have not changed drastically. We may have hit a general equilibrium point at least for set averages. Spark of Rebellion was the only set that had its average go up although it was still less than $3. Twilight dropped the most at just over $5, and the other two sets moved down marginally.

Current Top 10

Cad Bane stayed in the top spot for the third week in a row. He maintained the $300 price point and has been the only one at or above that mark since we ran our data pull on 4/14/25. Granted there have been only three sales on TCGPlayer in that span, but all were in the $290 to $300 range. Also with only four listings currently the price jumps between them are significant with the highest being extremely close to $600.

Winners and Losers

Kylo Ren made a solid jump for the second week in a row. Again, this is partially due to low volume, the lowest listed one selling and the next lowest just being a bit higher. Similar to Cad Bane, there are only four listings for Kylo as well with a vast spread of prices between lowest and highest. Granted the highest listed in this case is a PSA9 graded card with pictures from a seller with a reasonable number of sales for $750.

Grand Inquisitor is also interesting this week. Last week he was sitting in The Finn Zone as one of the cheaper showcase leaders available. With a nice 44.52% gain on the week he’s managed to escape that realm of mediocrity. This is on the back of eleven TCGPlayer sales over the past week, so comparatively high volume vs. many of the other showcases.

Sabine Wren seems to be moving in the wrong direction. Winning in Richmond has not seemed to do anything for her showcase prices. Maybe the more recent Lille event will have a more positive impact.

Meanwhile poor Lando(s). With drops this week, he’s now got two showcases squarely in The Finn Zone. Speaking of which…

“The Finn Zone”

Rose holds onto her position as the cheapest showcase available for the seventh week in a row. At this point it may take a new set with something terrible game play wise and for a not well liked character to knock her from that perch. Inventory is certainly plentiful for her and there are even some seller’s like Littleroot Games who are trying to move multiples.

Additional Notes and Comments

For prior price tracking of showcase and legendary cards please visit the Porg Depot Pricing Page.

Keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
