Token Art Tier List Version 2 (May 2025)

Legends of the Force means a ton of things. Jedi, Sith, lightsabers galore, and of course the new Force token. This of course makes it time for an official update to the Porg Depot Token Art Tier list. (Prior version here and go here for all our tier lists.)

S+ Tier

Custom Porg tokens obviously.

S Tier

“The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.” ~Obi-Wan Kenobi

If you manage to capture something as massive as The Force onto a single token card, it’s pretty much got to be in a pretty high tier. Specifically looking at the art and design of it would get it into the S tier anyway. First horizontal token. First standard variant token to break the card border with the swamp tree on the right and characters in the foreground. Hard not to look at this and picture the Empire Strikes Back scene with Yoda lifting the submerged X-wing from the below the surface of the bog.

Shadows of the Galaxy Shield – Very solid art that clearly shows a Mandalorian using a shield to deflect a couple laser blasts. What vaults this token into the S tier is that you can go and buy physical non-card tokens that use the artwork as basis for the non-card versions.

A Tier

The new tokens from Legends of the Force are both very nice. They both convey motion in a static image. You can feel Experience growing as the training remote floating around and the Palawan about to swing their saber to deflect the incoming blast. Already well trained and wielding two lightsabers certainly creates a nice barrier from the incoming barrage on the new Shield token.

The shield token from Jump to Lightspeed remains very solid in comparison to other tokens. The multiple bursts of color from the explosions on the shields of a Mon Cal capital ship make this very interesting and the detail is top notch.

The Gamegenic hyperspace foil tokens have unique art work similar to their standard set counter parts from Spark of Rebellion. The shield token adds some very cool detail with the actual blast impacts, and the experience one, while it doesn’t have Yoda balanced on Luke’s foot, it does provide a much more vivid color palette.

B Tier

The original tokens from Spark of the Rebellion are very clearly the thing that they are. The Experience token shows Luke training with Yoda and gaining experience. The Shield shows a B-Wing’s shield absorbing a laser blast. Simple and straight forward.

Also in the this tier are the Jump to Lightspeed space unit tokens. Similar to the Spark tokens, these are extremely straight forward showing exactly what they are named.

C Tier

Clone Trooper and Battle Droid suffer from the same problem. Each name is a singular thing. The art on the other hand shows three of each when you factor in the couple that are in the background.

D Tier

These two experience tokens are both decent pieces of artwork. However, neither really denotes training or gaining in actual experience similar to the one from Spark of the Rebellion.
