Legendary Prices May 23, 2025

Is the recent downward trend starting to flatten out now that we are about halfway to Legends of the Force release?
Market Price Total and Average Values
Starting from around May 1, the overall trajectory has been consistently down. The recent price action started with the release of Jump to Lightspeed and increased as people were trying to collect the new cards. That eventually turns down after people have what they need. This week we saw the first signs of a possible bottom with he market showing some resistance to dropping values.
Will this level hold or continue to fall as people prepare for Legends of the Force?

** Reminder that the Market Price is where the TCGPlayer algorithm says the price ought to be. Above that price and a card may be overcosted. Below and you could be getting a deal. We are using the market price for the Total and Averages section above, however shift to lowest listed for the sections below.
Top of the Market (Hyperspace and Standard)
Luke’s SOR Hyperspace keeps the top spot for yet another week. He’s also back over the $50 mark and is the only standard or hyperspace card in that range.

** Note that the hyperspace variants are only shown in the overall top 10 list as we focus on the standard variants.
Filtering out the hyperspace variants in the chart below, the list is extremely similar.

Winners and Losers
We’re seeing huge spikes in cards that are key pieces to various Data Vault decks as this base takes over the meta leading up to the U.S> Regional event this weekend. The top 3 cards are key pieces to two of the most popular decks, Qi-Ra and Han Solo2.

The bannings of Jango Fett and Triple Dark Raid are still shaking the legendary market. Avenger from JTL and Boba Fett from SoR have yet to find a new home and are consistently dropping from week to week. There are great cards and may be at bargain bin prices soon. Is it worth stocking up for their eventual return?

Cheapest
Planetary Invasion lost its spot as the cheapest legendary two weeks ago after a ten week run. Final Showdown jumped into that spot extremely briefly and now is not even in the very bottom group. The new leader in the clubhouse is Profundity. We’ll see if the ship maintains this dubious honor for a few weeks.
