Legendary Prices May 16, 2025

The little drop has unfortunately become the new trend. Plus some cards that maybe should be rising are doing the opposite.
Market Price Total and Average Values
There was a significant upwards trend from mid-March until the very beginning of May. This has been shown on a similar chart over that time span and is below marked in black. Unfortunately the flattening and then the small dip at the beginning of the month has turned into a very tightly channeled downward movement. This is show below in orange.
The low point previously was back on March 19 at $8.35 on average for the market price of standard version legendary cards. Today it sits at $8.67. Betting on the trend it currently looks likely to continue and to set a new low sometime this coming week. Fingers crossed that it could potentially reverse course.

** Reminder that the Market Price is where the TCGPlayer algorithm says the price ought to be. Above that price and a card may be overcosted. Below and you could be getting a deal. We are using the market price for the Total and Averages section above, however shift to lowest listed for the sections below.
Top of the Market (Hyperspace and Standard)
Luke’s SOR Hyperspace remains on top this week despite the over 12% drop. His drop also means that with standard and hyperspace variants of cards there are no longer any that have lowest listed pricing over the $50 mark.

** Note that the hyperspace variants are only shown in the overall top 10 list as we focus on the standard variants.
Looking at just the standard variants, most of the top group dropped for the second week running. Obviously this top group dropping along with a significant number of drops of less expensive cards is the reason for the downwards trend in overall average prices.

Winners and Losers
Cunning made a rebound this week. The prior very low $5.82 price point was due to a single listing. With the 89% rebound after that one listing was cleared out puts it back into a more reasonable range. However, the four week trend on Cunning is still just under 19% down. Double yellow aspect decks just aren’t what they used to be.

The list of cards losing the most ground this week is a bit interesting. With Qi’ra decks having a significant part of the meta the last couple of weeks it is odd to see cards that are staples in there losing some steam. Snoke, Superlaser Blast, and Avenger all dropping seems strange. At least the Superlaser Blast still is up over a four week period. Maybe this is people dumping those cards because of the rise in popularity of Qi’ra and trying to undercut each other to have the lowest listing. Next week or two couple be interesting for these cards.

Cheapest
Planetary Invasion lost its spot as the cheapest legendary after a ten week run. Our new “leader” for cheapest is Final Showdown. We’ll see if it can crack the record and turn it up to eleven.
