Showcase Prices Feb 3, 2025

Back to having a down week for showcases. A few bright spots and some deals to be had if you settle for non-mint cards.

** Data gathered from TCGPlayer at ~7:30am EST. Full data set here.

All Showcase Trend

The losing streak was broken last week, however that was almost certainly related to the shift in tracking to look at Mint condition cards only.

Oddly the showcase cards from Shadow of the Galaxy are actually up on average this week. The average overall is of course down with relatively large drops from both of the other two sets.

Current Top 10

Boba Fett – Collecting the Bounty remains at the top of the list despite his ongoing suspension. There have been a few sales over the past week, with consistently decreasing sale prices. The gap is definitely closing and we could soon have a new most expensive showcase.

Who might move up to take over at the top spot? Anakin has not moved for the third week in a row. Sabine is making a move back higher. Kylo Ren could be the dark horse in the race.

Winners and Losers

Kylo Ren appears to have made a jump this week. Our tracking for showcase prices shifted to look at mint only card last week so this increase is not related to that change. More likely, the few sales at the bottom end were tagged as Mint listings and now the three cheapest listings for Kylo are all tagged as Lightly Played at the time of writing this post.

Boba Fett Collecting the Bounty continues his slow decline since being suspended. With the rotation announcement and the fact that Boba would still at least initially be available for play in the Eternal format, it is possible that he finds a relative bottom price point to sit at. For now though the trend on this one continues.

Race to the Bottom

Lando Calrissian sprints into the bottom five this week. Multiple listings have hit the market for a decent chunk under his previous week’s low price. For anybody out there actually looking for a Lando showcase, now could be the time to pick one up.

Additional Notes and Comments

For prior price tracking of showcase and legendary cards please visit the Porg Depot Pricing Page.

Keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
