Showcase Prices May 18th, 2026

The good news is that Ashes of the Empire previews start today. Unless you are Finn and are happy to get a couple more neighbors.

** Regardless of price there are fun ways to get a showcase leader.

Set Averages

We seem to be at the point of the season where there’s just not a ton of good news week to week. The meta has generally settled in. While the field is relatively diverse compared to some past sets’ metas the leaders that are priced highly aren’t really going up so much as just maintaining their positions a bit.

This week we can see just over a $20 drop for the SOR Luke and Vader from last year’s Galactic Championship. The showcase cards from the actual Spark of Rebellion set notched a decent $9 gain, but generally due to a single card which we’ll get into below.

For the rest of the sets, nothing moved more than $4 in either direction, which is generally stable.

A Lawless Time did continue its very subtle slide. However it does remain significantly higher than the showcase leaders from 2025 at this point in its lifecycle. Attribute this to a combination of the pull rate changes in Carbonite boxes and also the generally better spread of leaders in the set in terms of playability.

Current Top 10

Boba Fett – Collecting the Bounty remains at the top of the heap this week. Two sales at $215 and $216 over the past week are nowhere near the lowest listed item currently so it’s a bit hard to gauge what the actual value of a Boba might be. Granted with such a low volume on showcase listings and sales this is generally the case and nothing to be terribly surprised about.

A couple leaders have popped back into play with listings. General Grievous and Emperor Palpatine are back from limbo with some pretty lofty listing prices. At least in Palpatine’s case, he’s got some incredible artwork even for a showcase card. Too bad Porg Depot had not existed back then to do a showcase art tier list for SOR, but Palps would be an S Tier in our book.

Winners and Losers

Aside from Boba Fett, only four other leaders saw their lowest listing price go up this week. Three of those were up less than $3, and two were up under $1 which is hardly a movement at all.

On the downside of things are actually most of the things. If it wasn’t for a few leaders going from no listing to having a higher than average listing, the overall averages would be down quite a bit more than the set average chart relays. Good that the leaders without listings are getting some, but of course bad that the general market is headed down.

When digging into specific cases on the loser chart we do get some encouraging signs. Chewbacca – Hero of Kessel for example notched two sales of very close to $300 over the past week. The small drop in price then is just seller competition to be the lowest listed and therefore most likely to sell next.

Dedra Meero is another example. Yes a drop this week of $12.60 however there have been five sales over the past week with the most recent ones very close to her current lowest listing. She has accounted for 9% of qualifier top 8 spots and 7.7% of the winners over the last two weeks (according to SWUBase.com). Would not be surprised if we start seeing her price point rise over the next few weeks at a minimum.

“The Finn Zone”

Gaining two members this week brings us back off the floor of last week’s lowest ever members of the zone. Finn was getting lonely. Maybe he needs to throw a party of something. Some of the other leaders could just scared of Grand Inquisitor and his now six week run at the “top”.

Third Sister jumps right back into the group. She had tried to get out and managed a very brief one week reprieve. Wat Tambor is the other new member of the group, although he went from no listing to having a very low one so maybe he was there all the time and just very good at hiding.

Additional Notes and Comments

For prior price tracking of showcase and legendary cards please visit the Porg Depot Pricing Page.

As always, keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
