** Regardless of price there are fun ways to get a showcase leader.

Set Averages

We no longer have any average per set over the $200 mark. That is of course if you consider the OPP showcases of Luke and Vader to kind of be their own set. If you include them along with Spark of Rebellion then we’ve probably been under that average price point for quite some time.

All of the true sets stayed basically the same with very modest movement in both directions depending on which one you are looking at. This seems to stay on point with trends we’ve seen in the past. Once a set is released there is a big spike for the new cards and then everything seems to settle down once the meta for that newest set is reasonably established. Granted with a meta update stream later today, this could all change very quickly.

Current Top 10

Chancellor Palpatine stayed stable this week and is still up significantly over a four week period. That wasn’t enough though to stop good old Sabine from jumping into the top spot.

Winners and Losers

Some interesting leaders on the gainer chart this time around. Gar Saxon at last check has not won any of the recent Planetary Qualifiers. Yet here he is with a 25% jump for the week and nearly 60% gain over the past four. This is of course the land of low volume with showcases and there have been only two sales in the past week. One more sale of the current lowest listed and there would be only one remaining for sale at a whopping $399.99.

The losers for the week are relatively unremarkable. Darth Vader – Lord of the Sith would be the biggest one to look at here. He’s now down under $200 for the first time. The price is very likely to stay there too as there are currently seven listings below that mark from only two sellers.

“The Finn Zone”

Rio remains on a roll and stays in the “top” spot this week despite over 8.5% gain on the week due to four total sales. Two more weeks to go before he would tie Rose Tico’s record.

The Finn Zone Records

  • Longest Reign at the “Top” = Rose Tico; 8 weeks
  • Lowest Showcase Price = Rose Tico; $20.00 on 8/4/25
  • Largest Count of Zone Members = 23 on 7/21/25
  • Smallest Count of Zone Members = 14 on 9/8/25

Additional Notes and Comments

For prior price tracking of showcase and legendary cards please visit the Porg Depot Pricing Page.

Keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
