Showcase Prices September 8, 2025
We’ve got a new most expensive showcase. Is the Chancellor really worth this much?

Set Averages
Showcase average prices stayed roughly the same again this week and even just marginally went up. Legends of the Force was the only set that saw its average drop. Technically the SOR Luke and Vader also went down, but whether or not they are a set is probably up for debate and we’ll continue to track them independently for now.

Current Top 10

Chancellor Palpatine shows the last sale being a week ago. He takes over the top spot by doing nothing other than waiting for the Darth Vader – Lord of the Sith to just drop a bit.
We’re also seeing the entire top 10 group over the $200 price point. This may have happened previously and we hadn’t noticed it. A particularly fluffy porg told us to point it out this time around.
Winners and Losers

Kazuda made a pretty massive jump over the past week. We’re not sure if he actually is the best pilot in the galaxy, but his showcase card is certainly on the move. Only one sale back on 9/1/25 so it’s not based on massive volume and could just be the bottom end of the market selling through. Either way, something is definitely brewing here and is shown not just by Kaz but the myriad of space aggro decks in recent events.

Not a ton of news on the loser end of the movements. At least interesting to us is that Finn went down a bit in price which allowed some others to escape The Finn Zone.
“The Finn Zone”
The cards in this part of the list have left the meta. They are on a journey to a mysterious realm of disappointment, like a bad Twilight Zone episode where every card is just… meh. This is now officially where all disappointing Star Wars: Unlimited showcase cards go to live in eternal mediocrity. If a card dips below Finn in value, it has entered The Finn Zone, a place where underwhelming abilities and missed potential reign supreme.
Rio retains the “top” spot in the zone this week. Three more weeks to go before he would tie Rose Tico’s record.
Also with Finn’s drop in price and the shrinking of The Zone to 14, we are now tracking the Smallest Count of Zone Members as a new record starting with today’s value at 14.
The Finn Zone Records
- Longest Reign at the “Top” = Rose Tico; 8 weeks
- Lowest Showcase Price = Rose Tico; $20.00 on 8/4/25
- Largest Count of Zone Members = 23 on 7/21/25
- Smallest Count of Zone Members = 14 on 9/8/25

Additional Notes and Comments

Keep in mind that all showcase cards are relatively low volume in sales when compared to Legendary and Rare cards. A single listing and sale could skew some of this data. TCGPlayer tries to compensate for this by listing a “Market Price” in addition to the actual price of available listings. The TCG site refers to this as “This price point is compiled from recent sales completed on TCGplayer.com. TCG Market Price is updated as transactions complete and reflects the best suggested retail price of a product.”
