Legendary Prices August 15, 2025
Uh oh. This doesn’t look great. Maybe we can sift through this week and find some good news.

Market and Average Price Trends
Guess something positive is that the downward trend is not as steep as the run up was. This statement is kind of a stretch though. The uptick and subsequent downward movement with Legends of the Force in the mix is much more compacted in time frame than what we saw with Jump to Lightspeed.

What does this most recent trend mean? Maybe not a ton. Perhaps one of the best conclusions to draw from the past 6 weeks is that if you are going to buy single cards and don’t absolutely need them for an event right after a set releases, then you will save some serious cash by waiting at least a few weeks for the pullback.
We can see in the below chart that most of the losses in total average market price are attributed to Legends of the Force settling down a bit after the spike around the time of the Galactic Championship, and then also Spark of Rebellion which could have easily been a bit overinflated. Shadows was also down, but not by a ton. Twilight and Jump were both marginally up for the week.

** Reminder that the TCGPlayer Market Price is where the TCGPlayer algorithm says the price ought to be. Above that price and a card may be overcosted. Below and you could be getting a deal. We are using the market price for the overall trend section above, however shift to lowest listed for the sections below.
Top of the Market (Hyperspace and Standard)
Luke Skywalker – Jedi Knight stay right up at the top in both the one and three spots this week depending on which version you are looking at, and Anakin Skywalker – Champion of Mortis remains rather valuable as well. The Hyperspace Force Lightning also remains in the top ten this week even with a large correction.

** Note that the hyperspace variants are only shown in the overall top 10 list as we focus on the standard variants.
Maybe the best news of the week is that TCGPlayer finally cleared out the bugged listing for the standard Force Lightning so that price is pulling correctly and no longer needs to be manually adjusted.

Winners and Losers
Darth Vader – Scourge of Squadrons was the big winner this week by dollar value. It made a pretty solid $4+ and over 30% gain for the week. Absolutely one to watch as the card is quite powerful and may only become better post rotation.
Percentage wise Kylo Ren – Killing the Past was the largest mover. He’s still technically down over the last month but at least he’s bounced back significantly from the $1.20 low point last week.

As mentioned above, the Force Lightning standard version is not bugged with the one $4.50 listing. The bad news though is that it pulled back a ton in the last week to add to the loss from the prior week. Keep in mind that the four week change for this one is not accurate.

Cheapest
The lowest listed legendaries are a batch of the same players we’ve been seeing. About the only thing this group of cards is good for is complete speculation that somehow Secrets of Power would make them playable. DJ however is a coaster or something to have signed if you by chance run into Benicio del Toro.
